Chicago's largest-ever public art installation, Color Jam, was unveiled Tuesday in the heart of the city's Loop -- covering various surfaces of the intersection of State and Adams with multihued, geometric shapes. Created by multimedia artist Jessica Stockholder, Color Jam "wraps" the intersection with color in a three-dimensional homage to fabric artist Christo commissioned by the Chicago Loop Alliance's Art Loop.

Millenium Park Family Fun Festival: The Family Fun Festival returns to Millennium Park this summer, making the Park the place to be for kids of all ages. Every day, from July 2 - September 2 between 10 AM and 3 PM, family performances and hands-on activities will take place in the Family Fun Tent, located on the Park’s Chase Promenade North. The Family Fun Festival is sponsored by Target and presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture.

Mr. Puhr recommended this museum to me. I think art from an artists that 4th graders studied that was featured in a reading book is part of an exhibit there, but the name escapes me. And I think it is free.
